Your non-HDL is actually 126 if your tot. cool. and HDL are correct as stated. Your low HDL is not a treatment target. Do you have a family history of premature atherosclerotic disease? Eat healthily and exercise regularly, and DON'T SMOKE! Good luck!

: Eliminate trans fatty acids &amp; lower saturated fats in your diet. Eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as walnuts &amp; salmon. Increase soluble fiber in your diet which is found in apples &amp; oatmeal.  Only drink alcohol in moderation, don't smoke, &amp; maintain a good weight. And get moderate exercise for about 30 minutes 5 days a week. And follow up cholesterol level checks. I wish you well!

This number is subject to significant genetic predisposition but can be lowered by diet, smoking, etc.
