Breakthrough bleed: Sounds like breakthrough bleeding which occurs when you have bleeding at unscheduled times while on the pill. Often things get back to normal the next cycle. If not then schedule a visit to discuss changing brands  or changing birth control methods. This is very common. Other than being annoying it is not dangerous.

Most likely not: pregnant.  However a urine pregnancy test could be reassuring.  If unsure still, see your doctor.

Give it time: give it some time, everyone's body responds differently to medications. please call the physician who prescribed the medication for a follow up assessment. also take a pregnancy test if you believe there is a chance you may be pregnant.

had open myomectomy  in 6/2020, fibroids removed but complicated by retained sponge. i was on pills to decrease bleeding preop and  3 mths post op. to this day no period, on birth control pills, not pregnant, cramping monthly but no bleeding?

: It sounds like you had a very challenging experience.  Given the complexity of the situation, your lack of periods or amenorrhea should definitely be addressed with your care providers and may warrant further testing.  In addition to changes within the uterus, there are other hormonal causes of amenorrhea that would need to be evaluated.

some pills will reduce flow
Brown may be blood that stays in vagina before coming out and when flow is not heavy

Absolutely NOT: Despite growing familiarity with so-called "extended cycle" birth control pill regimens, many women still instinctively question whether it is safe to skip periods on the pill.  There is no scientific evidence whatsoever of any harmful effects from going months without bleeding.  I think this is because many women are taught as girls that the period is nature's way of "cleaning out" the system.

1-2 days: The period will usually slow and stop within 1-2 days of starting active pills.

i just got a new brand of pills, can i start it right now instead of waiting for my next period?

Not a good idea: Starting new birth control pills in the middle of your menstrual cycle may seriously disrupt your hormone levels and you will have very irregular bleeding.  It may also decrease the effectiveness of the pills for birth control.  I would recommend following your physician's advice, starting the new pill as you finish the package of your current pills.
