my neighbors have been isolating their two young kids during the covid pandemic. i usually babysit for them regularly. now that the parents are returning to work, the kids have no desire to talk, interact, or do anything with me? is this normal?

Impact on lifestyle:  Possibly if you have not been with them for a while. They may also be reacting to the absence of their parents.  This COVID stuff impacts all of our lifestyles. Kids may not have their usual placemates or school time. Some might not play outdoors.. I work with adults but it can impact children too. Help keep them busy doing things that are interesting, fun and educational. Take care.

Get medical help: Stuttering can be very serious, but not untreatable.  Your age and many other factors contribute to the significance of your condition.  Please get help from your doctor and a speech/language pathologist. The movie "the kings speech" was a great description do what can be done with stuttering.

Learn tricks: I'll let others address whether you have social phobia, autism-spectrum or whatever. You can talk to anyone using a few tricks. Repeat what they said. Talk about their interests. Find something you can truly admire about them &amp; let them notice. Relationships are more important than being right. Look / act interested. Avoid religion, politics, sex. The Dale Carnegie books are still great.

Anxiety: Is state of tension, apprehension, worry, uneasiness or fear. While mild episodes of anxiety are common and do not require treatment, more severe forms can be chronic and debilitating. Symptoms of severe anxiety insomnia, chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations and parasthesia. The antidepressants should be in sync with cognitive behavior therapy and constant mood monitoring.
