will any of the doctors out there make phone calls to the patients?

Depends on Doctor: Patients being seen in the doctor's office will get calls back depending on the doctor's policy.  Many times, it is the office nurse that will be relaying information/test results/refills to patients.  In some offices, the doctor may make some or all of the calls.  Usually, if there is something that may need added explanation or it is after hours, the doctor will make the calls.

are doctors receptionists supposed to tell you your mri results over the phone?

Depends on the...: It depends on the type of practice and the personal choice of the doctor. A patient should be happy to return to the office for a follow-up visit to get any type of test results. Some doctors or medical groups send out results by phone or online.  Receptionists are non-medical staff, so if a patient gets a result from a receptionist, the patient should be sure not to ask a medical question.

Make a follow up: Unfortunately doctors don't get paid to make telephone calls like a lawyer or other professional.  Your best way to get answers is to see them in person.

how can i stop waiting for my doctor to return phone calls?

Waiting by the phone: I would ask to talk to the office manager and then politely give the details of the situation explaining that you are frustrated by not getting a return phone call.  Discuss what you want to know.  Then ask if the office manager can help you get the information you need.  Many family doctors have an assistant that can also help facilitate getting an answer for you.  Be assertive but appropriate.

Go see ur family doc: It's not clear what your hormone imbalance is. Best to go see your family doc for evaluation, testing & diagnosis. S/he can refer you to an endocrinologist if necessary.

doc said over phone that my alternative(alternate) complement pathway is activated.  what things could cause this?  what does it mean?

Immune process: Complement proteins in the blood coat bacteria, viruses, etc., to make them easier for the immune system to grab onto and destroy. They can be activated by your own antibodies (classical pathway) or may spontaneously activate themselves (alternative pathway). Activation can mean anything from you are fighting an infection to you have an autoimmune process. Talk with your doctor for more info.

if doctors are "unsure" of a link between cancer and cell phone, why are there not warnings "cell phone use may be dangerous to health"?

Life is risky: Everything on planet Earth causes cancer. Actually, everything outside our planet also causes cancer. Therefore, the whole world would have to be like California, where we have a cancer warning sign on every building I have ever been in. The result is that nobody pays attention to those signs. So, to truly warn people, we can only put signs on the most dangerous things, which excludes cellphones.

dr office called to give me results but i didn't have my phone, a message to call back tomorrow was left not by the dr. if it was serious the doc would of called right?ive been waiting a week for these

Communication: Communicating over the phone with your doctor is not always easy or simple. If it is a serious lab or pathology report, often the doctor will call. However, not always. Okay for you to call the doctor, report the message you received to the receptionist and get the information. Don't wait for the doctor to call back. It takes both the patient and the doc to have that relationship. Be well.
