It's best to do weekly " weight checks" at your pediatrician's office or by a home health nurse unless your scale is medical-grade & recently balanced by a professional. Weight, head circumference & recumbent length must be done by the same person, the same way, on the same equipment every time, to be valid.

Not unhealthy: But may not be possible in practice.  Some children are simply not able to sit still for prolonged periods of time (especially younger children).  If a child cannot sit still, then alternative plans can be made by the school.
