New chair?: You may need a new chair but first try putting something under your feet, such as a thick book or a box, that will raise your knees above your hips. This will decrease the strain on your back.

Consider: Suggest stretching before and get up frequently for 15 seconds to stretch during prolonged sitting. Stretch neck, mid and lower back. Maintain good posture with a chair with good arch support or pillow. Have good lighting and make sure your reading glasses prescription is accurate so you aren't bent over like a "c" and strain your neck and back muscles. Consider a chiropractic visit for adjustment.
