: Although not yet widely available, MR imaging of peripheral nerves is useful for persistent nerve-related symptoms despite prior normal imaging and nonspecific EMG results.  Can be helpful with lumbar or brachial plexus issues, thoracic outlet, sciatica. 
In your case, discuss with experienced radiologist and get opinion on relevance and value.

Last resort drugs:: usually sciatica is best treated with EITHER  prednisone ( Medrol Dose Pack or strong NSAIDS such as Celebx or Naprosyn. The use of anticonvulsant medicine is reserved for severe cases which are non- repsonsive to  either prednisione or NSAIDS. Lyrica is the next logical choice

Yes, steroids act to decrease inflammation.
Steroid side effects include drug reactions, increase in blood sugar and fluid retention.
Local anesthetics have very few side effects.

Yes: The symptoms you mention are "sensory" symptoms which include numbness/hot/cold/pain

got a biodentin 12d ago.  because a 6m old fillig just a bit of pain. dentist said nothing was wrong, but filling was close to nerve, no inflammation. i got sinusitis as well, maybe the reason why still painful, its worse with biodentine than before?

: Pain means that something is wrong, so you do need to go back and see a dentist. Biodentine is commonly used to repair damage close to or into the nerive.  Make sure that you get this evaluated by a root canal specalist (Endodontist).  Good luck!
