Avoid neosporin: Neosporin is an antibiotic cream, not for treating sunburn.  You may also sensitize the skin if you use neosporin.  Instead use Aloe Vera gel on your sunburn. Use sunscreen to prevent future sunburns.

i recently had my big toenail removed one week ago. i wash it, put neosporin, gauze, & bandaid on it. i noticed some yellow/drainage on the bandaid when i switched it out tonight. is that okay?

: It is common to have a little yellowish or even bloody drainage.  You are taking good care of your foot;  washing it gently and keeping soil out of it are key.  If it is red, painful or tender, please return to your podiatrist to check for infection.

i got stung by a yellow jacket hornet yesterday on my right upper arm. it itches, and is warm. i have a red area that could be spreading a small bit. i have been applying hydrocortizone and neosporin. is it normal that it is warm to the touch?

: I wouldn't be concerned about a little warmth but spreading redness and significant burning discomfort would be concerning for development of cellulitis which would require a visit to a physician and treatment with an appropriate oral antibiotic with follow-up care as well.

Leave it dry.: Please leave it dry. Your wound is healing. The scab is protecting it from germs and dirt. You don't need to apply anything more on it.

Get it checked: Lesions that don't heal and come back like this, especially on sun-exposed areas, should be evaluated by a dermatologist and skin cancer ruled out.
