: The size of a tumor does not necessarily determine whether treatment is effective. Depending on timing, the size could be small one day, and rapidly progress in growth another day. Also what can appear small on the surface, like melanoma, may be actually very deep, malignant, and already metastasize. This is why we use Tumor, node, metastasis (TNM) Staging in the U.S.

Weight loss and anorexia frequently follow.

Likely ductal.: Luminal (phenobarbital) anything, like luminal (phenobarbital) cells most likely refers to cells lining a duct, or tube in the body, called a lumen.  For example the inside of the gastrointestinal tract is its lumen, lined by epithelial cells.  These cells can become cancerous and so they are a luminal (phenobarbital) cancer.  Ductal carcinoma of the breast is a better example, as these are cancerous liminal cells of the breast lumen or duct.

Comparative values: Tumor markers allow for monitoring the response to treatment by serially testing for the levels.  A low level may be due to remission, without elimination of the tumor and levels could increase with recurrence of tumor.  Therefore low levels do not necessarily mean "no more cancer".

Wouldn't think so: DMSO is a chemical often derived from tree sap that has had various uses in industry &amp; has some use in health care. It aids the transfer of medication through skin surfaces which is how birth control patches get the meds into the body. It has been around for decades. If it had any good anti-tumor qualities it would be in common use, but it is not.

Yes: Biopsy allows the pathologist to see the actual tissue under microscope to identify the presence of cancer cells. Without the tissue biopsy you can not be sure enough to start any treatment.
