odd sense of flushing, heat in neck and left side of head, left ear too. recurring issue that feels like an internal heat..like (i assume) a hot flash for men. no fever. had this last year around same time of year too...any clue? thyroid possibly?

: This could be due to any number of endocrine issues, thyroid being only one. It would be helpful to know if your heart rate and BP increase during the episode-makes catecholamine release possible. You should see your doctor ASAP and report this issue. You need some blood work and possible an endocrine evaluation to figure this out. Best of luck to you!!

Usually is: Lymph nodes are located throughout the body & generally noticable in exposed areas like the neck. They are usually pea sized at rest and enlarged when stimulated by bug bites, dermatitis, drainage or infection. They rarely can become damaged by infection & grow to golf ball size & need drainage or removal. Most enlarge and later shrink back down within a 3 wk cycle unless chronically stimulated.

There: are a number of "cooling towels" on the market!

Ask your pharmacist or for that matter go  to a SPORTS EQUIPMENT outlet and ask for "cooling towels"

FUO: If your symptoms have been occurring for a few weeks, this meets the criterion for fever of unknown origin. Possibilities include various infections or malignancies such as lymphoma. Hyperthyroidism must also be considered. An infectious disease specialist or rheumatologist is best qualified to evaluate you. Appropriate tests will be ordered after a thorough history and physical examination.

every night, my body temp goes up to 99.8-100f. normal temp by morning. my neck and back also feel hot to touch at night when i get higher temperature. this has gone on for months. is this normal temp fluctuation, anxiety, or should i be worried?

Uncertain: Body temperatures do vary throughout a 24 hour cycle (circadian rhythms).  However body temp is usually the highest in late afternoon (in people who sleep at night vs the day). Temperature is usually lowest around 4 in the morning.

i have 3 stents one within the upper half of the left and one in the lower internal juggler vain and one left innominate vein ever since i have had really bad pain on the side of my neck, could any of this stints be causing my pain ?

: Somewhat hard to say, but not uncommon. I’d recommend a follow-up visit with whomever placed your stents to be certain they have not clotted/stenosed nor migrated. Best to you, and certainly hope you have changed your diet and lifestyle to improve your cardiovascular health!
