i've had neck pain for 2 weeks now. when i try to tilt my head back there is a sharp pain down my back muscles. is there a stretch to loosen this?

Not normal: You should see your doctor about this. The symptoms of sharp pain when tilting your head back is worrisome for some type of nerve entrapment or infection. If you are having fever, numbness, or headache, please seek urgent medical attention. Otherwise, please see your primary care doctor as soon as possible.

Lots of options: First, one should seek out a pm;r pain specialist (or maybe anesthesiologist with pain training) to fully evaluate the neck.

An MRI may end up being needed, but not after usually trying more conservative treatments such as nsaids, prednisone, and maybe pt.  Surgery is not usually needed or appropriate for axial neck pain.  Interventional pain injections into the appropriate structure can help.

Head and neck: You have many issues.
The first one you should stop is Sexually Transmitted Diseases! If you have a wife or a girlfriend please let her know about sex.
Breathlessness is a different issue and requires a clinic visit to your doctor.

Joint Hypermobility : Late teen female with low back pain and &quot;balls&quot;, nauseousness, and neck pain can consider joint hypermobility w. sacroiliac joint subluxation with schmorl&#x27;s node and pelvic instability causing upper body compensatory chronic muscle spam. JHS is associated with IBS, which includes nauseousness.  Fibromyalgia is also associated with JHS.

Maybe but not likely: The vast majority of bulging discs do not produce any symptoms.  Most often, bulging discs are seen early in in the development of degenerative disc disease. Daily gentle/moderate range of motion, strengthening and low impact cardiovascular exercise are the best treatment. See your doctor for persistent or worsening pain.

i have a script for oxycodone 7.5/325.  i took one at 7:30 for chronic neck pain and no relief.  would it be safe to take two?

Safety...dose range: I would not suggest using any more than 7.5-10mg of oxycodone unless supervised increase by your PCP or pain managemt physician. Look for time release long acting low dose meds.

Pinched Nerve: While there are many causes of arm pain and numbness one of the most common causes is cervical radiculopathy.  This occurs when one of the nerves leaving the neck gets compressed as it leaves the spine and travels down the arm.  Compression may occur due to degenerative/bulging discs or arthritic bone spurs contacting the nerve.  See your physician if these symptoms last longer than 2 weeks.
