Get taken to Dr: Sounds like you need to be seen by a Dr to determine what is going on, why, and help resolve the situation. Someone needs to take you to your Dr / Urgent Care (or if  necessary, the ER).

Journal to see: if there are particular behaviors that you engage in around that time - or it could be the result of a continuous behavior. For instance - if you look down at a keyboard all day - it may start hurting at that time. Or if you stop your job around that time, it may allow you to focus on physical sensations.

Pain: You may have a muscular strain or sprain of the cervical muscles. I would try some moist heat and an anti inflammatory such as Aleeve 400mg once a day with food.

See below: The fact that you woke up with neck pain suggests it may be related to the position of your neck when you sleep. This may be causing muscle strain or a pinched nerve in the neck. Don't sleep with head elevated on too many pillows and try changing pillows or try a cervical pillow which are available online or in stores. OTC analgesics for pain. Soft cervical collar may help. See Dr if not improving

Stay upright: u may get GERD and esophahgitis. Gerd gets better in upright position and may take some antacids. better don't drink.

No: Yawning is an exaggerated motion. Try yawnining less dramatically, but more often.

Neck pain: Would consider PT,  massage, liftign techniques, Aleve (naproxen) if not  allergic and or flexeril at night. Warm shower in AM, ice when home from work If  lifting constantly consider breaks every 30 minutes for 1-2 minutes to shake out neck . may consider a few days of neck collar, sometimes at night it helps the neck from rolling all over  f/u with doc /urgent care ..

Not enough info!: It you have a stiff neck that is new, along with fever, cough, sore throat or any other acute illness, you need to get seen right away to make sure you don't have a serious infection..  Otherwise if your neck has been hurting for awhile, a little more information would help.  When did it start?  Did you hurt it?  We can't tell what's going on from the info you provide. is there any way to know if neck pain is meningitis? it hurts when i'm still, move side to side and down. i've had it for 3 days now

See a doctor: The best thing to do is get professional help. Sometimes neck pain is just 'muscle pain' brought about by stress, studying in a fixed position, etc. The meninges - which are coverings over the spinal cord, could be inflamed however-and there are certain tests a doctor can do. If it's been 3 days already, this isn't a life threatening condition- but I'd still see the doc so you can get treatment.
