i have two bumps on my neck. they are both very painful and this morning it felt worse. have tried deep heat and muscle relaxers- no improvement. 3rd one arose today. they dont move under my fingers when i press on them. should i go to a dr?

Definitely: Among others, deep abscesses, such as the ones seen in hidradenitis suppurativa may be the cause and specific treatment will be needed. See your GP or an urgent care facility.

follow up to previous ques, have lentil size bump directly behind/under ear, deep inside skin. if a cyst how long until it goes away? not neck cancer?

Lymph nodes node: if you have a lump under your ear right on the bone then it is a periauricular lymph node.  If it is 1 cm or smaller then continue to observe.  Although neck cancel can cause lymph node Sao could an infected ear piercing and skin cancer like melanoma.  Your doctor will look at your hair and evaluate.

Unilateral tongue sx: Key issue is how long this has been going on. Most likely at your age, the symptoms are related to a localized infectious process, perhaps a peritonsillar abscess, with an immune reaction leading the tongue and other lymphoid tissue to respond, close off your tubes, enlarge nodes in your neck and even along your tongue. If persistent, go  for exam. Oral cancer rare @22, but not impossible w. HPV

See your MD ASAP: These symptoms could be signs of significant infection ! You should see md and possibly have CXR done . Also  may be appropriate to evaluate immunity status ... Doctors visit is next best step!

Depends: Generally, the fevers with group a streptococcus infections are in the 101-102 degree range.  If you do not have a fever, it seems unlikely, but you could still have an infection.  Be seen and you can be tested.

Different causes: May be as simple as a pimple or ingrown hair or a cyst ( fluid filled sac) or infection like an abscess or something more serious requiring biopsy/excision for further diagnosis. If you've had it for some time, see your doctor.

Usually is: Lymph nodes are located throughout the body & generally noticable in exposed areas like the neck. They are usually pea sized at rest and enlarged when stimulated by bug bites, dermatitis, drainage or infection. They rarely can become damaged by infection & grow to golf ball size & need drainage or removal. Most enlarge and later shrink back down within a 3 wk cycle unless chronically stimulated.

Many possibilities: Bumps under the skin could be as a result of different reasons of which could include an ingrown hair, acne, infection, abscess, or an allergic reaction to various things like detergents or soaps or to medications.  Have it evaluated by your physician to get the appropriate treatment.
