Possible indigestion: You may be suffering from acid reflux or and indigestion.  You should not eat spicy foods and watch what and when you eat.  It would not be a bad idea to see your physician to see if you are a candidate for medication or any other needed treatment.

Seek urgent care: The chills and nausea have me concerned that she could have a perforated ulcer or an incarcerated hiatal hernia.    This may need an operation to fix, so she should be seen immediately in person by a healthcare provider.  In the absence of chills and the 3 day duration, she could have worsening gastritis or reflux.

i used to have a problem with nausea/vomiting after eating.  this stopped for several years, but lately seems to be happening again. tonight, i had spicy food, and vomited, and there was a spot about the size of a quarter of bright red blood. otc antacids

Vomiting: With a forceful vomiting episode you could have ruptured a blood vessel somewhere in your GI tract, where, I don't know. If it was a serious bleed, you would be in big trouble very quickly. Talk to your doc and see if you need further evaluation soon.

Hours to days: Depending on the exact cause (staph food poisoning, E coli, salmonella, or others), onset can be as soon as a couple hours or up to 5 days. In general, "bad food" is a much less common cause of such symptoms than viral gastroenteritis (e.g. norovirus) or other infections.

Smaller meals: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you. You may try reducing the size of your meals, though you may eat more frequently, as long as you do not gain excessive weight.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

can pleurisy (already dx) cause pain assoc with eating? pain worse after food. not so bad if eat very small amts. nausea also bad. little appetite.

Not really: Lleurisy causes pain on deep breathing in the chest, and not related to food, it may be esophageal reflux and try acid suppression therapy with ranitidine or omeprazole, if does not help see your doctor.

Gastric acid reflux: Hello Carla,

The most common cause of the symptoms you describe is gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), commonly  known as heart burn. Consider trying over the counter ranitidine, omeprazole, Tums (calcium carbonate) or Maalox. Avoid foods that worsen your symptoms.
Pregnancy could also cause similar symptoms, so make sure you take a pregnancy test.
If these measures don't help, see your primary care for testing.

i got nausea after eating. i know it could be food poison because it probably wasn't fully cooked. the question is: how should i treat nausea and would food poison harm me?

: It is not called food poisoning for kicks of course I could hurt you. Time will tail avoid eating  uncooked food check with your doctor
