: I am not sure of the requirements in your location. You want to take college-level classes in chemistry, biology, physics, organic chemistry, in addition to basic language, math. You generally need a college-level 4-year diploma besides the classes above.

Non-medication: Natural doctors focus on non-medication methods for treatment of a problem.  I prefer the holistic approach which gives me the flexibility to use what seems most appropriate at the time with the intent to work all patients off of medications over time.

can any doc tell me what's the best natural skincare line or products for rosacea?

Accepted Answer

This is serious: Please don't neglect evidence-based medicine in the treatment of rosacea. If you can find an evidence-based "holistic" practitioner in your community, he/she may be able to offer advice. But if "natural medicine" actually worked, rosacea patients in the old days wouldn't have ended up with their faces mutilated. This doesn't have to be you with today's 21st century treatments.

are there any natural herbs or remedies that can help with adhd along with meds prescribed by the doctors?

No: There has been one study showing some help with use of an extract from a tree bark and one study showing some help with use of fish oil products, but these have been small studies. However, many parents do use melatonin to help children sleep who suffer from insomnia because of their adhd or the medications used to treat it.

i was said by doctors that have keratoconous, they said to go for surgery but i want to cure it naturally can i have help plz?

Try new glasses 1st: Often the first line treatment for keratoconus is to get a new pair of eyeglasses or switch to contacts. Really a last resort is surgery which would entail a corneal transplant. There are also inserts called Intacs inserts which flatten the cornea, but this also requires a minor surgery. There is a new procedure called Corneal Collagen Crosslinking that shows promise for slowing the progression.

Nonsense: Although it is a good exercise, it will not increase your height. You are actually a little taller in the am vs the pm because your spine stretches out a bit at night.  I suppose stretching out your body may do the same thing, temporarily.

Best foods: Tomato, pomegranate, orange, acai, blueberry, apple, almonds, olives, walnuts, plum, peach, apricot, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower -- and avoid animal fat; avoid sugar; avoid bread; avoid muffin; avoid pasta; for protein: eat fish; egg white; soy and tofu; quinoa.

why do doctors almost never suggest natural cures?

Several Reasons: Doctors (md/do) are trained in more of an evidence based medicine.  Unfortunately, there are not a lot of good scientific research supporting natural cures.  For those treatments that do have some research backing, some doctors may not be experienced in using them or have experienced better results with other treatments.  There needs to be more scientific research, experiences, and training.

Depends on variables: When you've taken care of newborns for decades you want mom's to have a great experience and a happy outcome.You hope for the best but plan for the worst.Locally we saw one popular midwife involved in 5 baby deaths in a 1 year period.Early recognition and care would have saved them.We hate to see avoidable calamity in a risky setting.The risks are too great to treat this like planning a party.
