Yes: Nasal steroid sprays like Nasonex (mometasone) can commonly cause pharyngitis or sore throat as a side effect to the medication. This sensation could also be secondary to poorly controlled post-nasal drip which can also cause a sore throat sensation.

i have clogged sinus everyday. i wake up with a sore throat. i have shortness of breath everyday but no cough. i did try nasal spray but my nose starts bleeding and get heart pulplatations. i am unsure what to do?

Possible allergy : You may have a sinus infection or an allergic reaction. If you have a fever, please discuss treatment for chronic sinusitis with your PCP. Nasal saline rinses may be helpful in either case. The use of nasal steroids may be associated with bleeding. Direct the nozzle away from the septum ( middle) and use as prescribed. Avoid dust, mold, pollen and animal dander.

How : How do you know you are allergic? If the exposure is alot, medication may not help. There may be other issues going on causing your symptoms. Have you spoken to an allergist and have you considered allergy shots?

No: Unless you have a fever, cough, lack of taste or smell, it is unlikely you have Covid-19. Since you responded to a nasal spray you symptoms sound like allergies

my 6 year old son has a sore throat, cough and nose is blocked and now complaining about ears being sore. started yesterday and giving him rinex, broncol, mybulen and iladin basil spray... what can i give for sore throat?

: I would recommend having his doctor examine him as he is already taking many medications for his symptoms. The Mybulen has a combination of several pain medications, so there is no other pain medication to give in combination with that. He should also have his ears checked to see if he has an ear infection. He may need a test for strep throat also. Hope he feels better soon.
