Adenoidectomy?: After foreign body, the most common reason a child would have nasal obstruction is obstructive enlargement of adenoid tissue which sits in the very back of the nose (nasopharynx). For this, adenoidectomy is performed. Adenoidectomy is one of the most commonly performed surgeries (+/- tonsillectomy) in children. It is quite safe, with the more common risks being anesthesia, bleeding, infection.

Nasal congestion: Have you tried saline rinses?  Also Nasocort 2 sprays each nostril nightly.  If that doesn't work, see your Primary Doctor.

Important: Sleep related breathing disorders due to upper airway obstruction can occur at any or all of 3 places: the nasal airway, palate and back of the throat, and the tongue base.  The nasal airway is often overlooked by many, however, is just as important as the pharynx.

Nasal obstetrician: IbAssume congestion of nasal passages membranes is causing his symptom. Avoid decongestant oral medications as they can aggravate  hypertension. Gentle Irrigation of nasal passages with warm salt water could help. Using a nasal decongestant spray is less likely to aggravate his hypertension. If allergies are suspected, corticosteroid nasal spray and oral plain antihistamine medications are helpful

See alllergist: These may be all related to allergy. Unless the spur is obstructing your passages permanently, surgery would not make much difference. Even if you have the surgery, your allergic problem would not go away.  Get a 2nd opinion before you go for the surgery.  If you have access to an allergist, go see one.  In the meanwhile, make sure that you are aiming the nasal spray towards the side of the nose.

my baby 6 months old with cough , nasal obstruction , low grade fever , she even can not sleep and always crying , does she need antibiotic or antitussive?

See your doctor: This could be merely a common cold with the symptoms you are describing.  Saline nose drops and suctioning gently with upright positioning and steamy baths may help to weather this illness. The cough may also represent a phenomena known as bronchiolitis-head cold with some wheezing.  Some docs may recommend a nebulizer with medication used in asthma care for the deep cough/wheeze.

6 mo feels swollen on right side below ear and side of neck.slight discomfort.no lump.gp&ent don't feel anything. xray cspine ok.what can it be? ent did say i have nasal obstruction and dev. septum.

?? Get a scan: Lots of possibilities. Lymph node, parotid salivary gland enlargement, benign lump like lipoma, remnant of tissues from embryologic development, etc.  If you got a clear checkup by primary and ENT physicians, not likely anything to worry about, but a ct scan of the neck with contrast would essentially rule out anything bad.  Otherwise, observation alone would be reasonable (recheck in a few weeks).
