More than one test: You should see your doctor for a comprehensive evaluation as no single test is good enough. The tests incluse, fasting lipids, fasting glucose, high sensitivity c-reactive protein, ultrasound examination of arteries in the neck, scan to detect calcium in coronary arteries and more. Discuss the issue with your doctor for proper selection of tests.

Hard to say: Pain high in the abdomen can be from the right coronary feeding the bottom wall of the heart against the diaphragm. However, if it does not come with exertion and has been constant then it would be less likely to be cardiac. If you are concerned you should see your cardiologist.

CABG: During a CABG procedure, the clogged portions of coronary arteries are bypassed with using short sections of a vein removed from one of your legs called the great saphenous. It is like building an overpass to redirect and flow of blood away from the clogged section and deliver it to the compromised heart muscle tissue.

Hang in there: Unfortunately, this is not an unusual occurence wih kids with narrowed blood vessels of any type. Whether it be narrowed pulmonary arteries, a coarctation of the aorta (narrowing of the biggest vessel in the body) , renal arteries (the kidney arteries), they can re-narrow as your child grows. Thank goodness someone is following this and that you are upholding your end by taking her back for checks.
