You could repeat your home pregnancy test in a few days checking your first morning urine or contact your medical provider to see about getting a serum pregnancy test.

A correctly done urine test will give a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (or when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon.

Not Pregnant: You are probably not pregnant then and have missed a period. You did not ask a question. But, this is one of the most common reasons for patients to visit their doctor.  Most missed periods are due to extremes such as dieting, stress, hormones, extreme exercise, obesity.  They usually resolve within one month. If you feel you could be pregnant due to sex during ovulation then test again.

Please see your PCP : Your periods are abnormal, and could possibly indicate pregnancy.  However, the test may not become positive within 2 weeks.  You need a blood HCG test, in-person urine and gynecological exam.  Your PCP/ gynecologist may order a uterine ultrasound and inspect other possible causes, such as hormonal imbalances that could lead to irregular menses if you happen not to be pregnant.  See your PCP.

Anovulation: If you missed your menstrual cycle, and aren't pregnant, you may have pcod, a thyroid disorder, or another cause for anovulation. If you gained or lost weight over a short period of time, it may also cause your cycle to be irregular, you should talk to your doctor to find out what is going on especially if you are trying to get pregnant.

: It's best to perform a pregnancy test 4 or 5 days after a missed period.  If your menstrual cycle is quite regular and about 28 days, unprotected sex on the last day of your period wouldn't occur during your ovulation which would occur on or about day 14. You may have had an anovulatory ( no egg) cycle &amp; are experiencing hormonal imbalance. Your gynecologist can advise you best.

Possibly: But it doesn't sound too likely.  At this point it is not clear where you are in your cycle so don't assume it can't happen.  If your periods don't get back to normal in the next month or so you should get in for a check up.
