One is medication which can retard further bone growth, the second is radiation of the affected area to stop bone growth and finally there is surgery to remove it often followed by radiation. In the mean time, consider going to an urgent care center or primary to be evaluated for muscle relaxants as well as other therapeutic modalities.  If your symptoms last more than 4 weeks, seek your primary for any imaging to be done.
