Muscle inflammation: Classical disorders include polymyositis and dermatomyositis, both causing progressive weakness. Cancer may or may not be associated, and removal of tumor may not help. Therapy with steroids, immunosuppressants (imuran, cell-cept), ivig and recent acth may be used.
