No: A normal person getting a typical massage once a week or once a day, does not get rhabdomyolysis from a massage. Therefore, a massage is not dangerous in that regard.

Yes: Only myoglobin would be related to muscle. With lupus, possibly inflammatory. It could be associated with elevated ck but not always, depending on extent of disease.

Talk to your doctor: Troponin and CKMB are both cardiac enzymes released into the bloodstream when there has been damage to heart muscle and are generally used as markers for heart attacks. Myoglobin comes from regular skeletal muscle when it is damaged and appears in your urine. If your total CK is in the 1000s then it might artificially raise the cardiac markers but can damage kidneys, either way see a doctor now!

7 weeks out on recovering from rhabdomyolysis. consuming 2-3 liters of water a day, urine is dark amber. myoglobin not present. should i be concerned?

Yes: You must continue to hydrate. MKe sure the urine has no blood preEnt and lab testing for the muscle enzymes. Very serious issue so follow your doctors directions

Myoglobin: Commonly used acute phase reactants include: ESR (erythrocyte sediment rate), fibrinogen, C-reactive proteing, and ferritin.

With regard to myoglobin, it found only in skeletal and cardiac muscle and is typically released during skeletal or cardiac muscle injury. Common processes that involve muscle injury include myocardial infarction (heart attack), rhabdomyolysis, and muscle trauma.

myoglobin high. drk brown urine. dr said myositis. if kidneys ok at discharge is there a good chance they will stay ok or would damage be delayed?

No damage: By the time you get discharged, there is no longer any danger to the kidneys from the effects of muscle injury. Drink plenty fluids, get a follow up blood test to check the kidney function. A normal serum creatinine is proof that there is nothing to worry about.

Yes, but: Yes, but it could also be from myoglobin clogging kidneys.
