i have just recovered from bronchitis and sinusitis, however ive developed pain in the bottom of my right rib. coughing, touching or if a move a certain way causes extreme pain. (general standing and sitting i am in no pain.)?

Rib pain: You most likely were having coughing spells while sick and have now strained your intercostal muscles.
They will get better in the next few days.  You could take aspirin or such for a few days.  If it continues longer or gets worse then you should be seen either by your physician or the emergency department depending on how bad the symptoms are.
Right now give it a few days, but keep taking deep b

i've been having burning pain exactly at and below my naval for a year. i've been tested for h.pylori but don't have it. what part of the gastrointestinal tract is exactly behind the naval? and what is causing this pain?

: Every individual’s anatomy is a little different, however the naval usually includes the small intestine and possibly the colon

i'm 8 weeks pregnant and experiencing stabbing pain in the center of my lower pelvic area, the pain comes suddenly like a shooting pain then goes away, but it's been on and off for a day, is it concerning or normal pain?

my height is 4'10 and i weigh 275 maybe even more. do i qualify for weight loss surgery. my weight has gotten so bad where my lower back hurts everytime i walk. i can't walk down the block for five minutes without pain?

Most likely: You probably would but the road to weight loss surgery takes some dedication, often including meeting with a nutritionist, a psychologist, an exercise physiologist and even sometimes medication from your primary care doctor. I encourage you to seek out the bariatric physicians in your area for an often free seminar on the topic.

sharp abdominal pain 3weeks after taking plan b. cycle is 25 days, began on 10/4. plan b 10/11. took preg test 10/22, neg. period is late. what's causing the pain? sex was on 10/9. what's giving me these sharp intense pain?

: I would recommend taking another pregnancy test now. You may have taken it too early to know if it was truly negative. If a repeat test is still negative, then another cause for pain could be an ovarian cyst. Those are more common after taking Plan B, as are delayed/irregular periods for 2-3 months. In any case, you should see a gynecologist to be evaluated for the pain.

my fever is 37.6. i spend the whole night projectile vomiting and cramps on my stomach. i am battling with headache and body chills. the vomiting was only sunday night. since then nothing. just cramps and my body joints pain.

Any different food?: One option for those symptoms is gastroenteritis (stomach flu)  The most common way to develop viral gastroenteritis — often called stomach flu —is through contact with an infected person or by ingesting contaminated food or water. If you're otherwise healthy, you'll likely recover without complications.

if i was leaving on vacation and couldn't get in to see my pcp. what route should i go in order to obtain a prescription for norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen). i have metal screws in my ankle and am constantly in pain. ?

I think the best: thing to do is plan in advance….you can always try an urgent care center..though, narcotics are getting tricky and people may not want to prescribe them not used to your case...

Standard & not: This pain is looked at by most mds as a chronic condition to be treated with physical therapy, pain meds, nerve blocks, etc., often with poor results & life-long pain.Osteopathic docs (who can do everything mds can do & more) consider myofascial pain often quite treatable by manipulation to relax soft-tissues, remove strains which pinch nerves or block lymph flow or other methods like prolotherapy.

VERY TRUE!!!!!: I've been in medicine for 30 years and that syndrome is the scourge of humanity. 15 years ago i stumbled on it after taking an acupuncture course and it opened my eyes to a new view of the human body and pain. See my files, see my wellness suggestions, find a chiropractor, massage person and an acupuncturist. They all have to be used in combo. Self-care is mandatory, lo-carb, epsom salts soaking!

Dry needling: Yes it does in some instances. This is very rarely done alone these days - its always combined with a trigger injection of some sort.
