They will have a variety of experts on staff that can assess the child's development and assess areas associated with delays found, such as an audiologist evaluation if there is a speech delay. You need to do some of the leg work in finding out what's available where you live!

If you believe that your child's situation isn't ideal; are there things you can think of to help his mother with a solution?

Parental reciprocal social interaction & communication are vital. Read, play, talk & interact with children even if you choose to  use electronic "learning " programs.
