Brush it: Maybe....So bring all of your baked goods down to my office! seriously, i doubt you have a big problem, but see your dentist to confirm.  Geographic tongue can make your tongue look funny, but you can also have an overgrowth of papillae, coffee stains, etc. Try brushing your tongue aggressively with your toothbrush or a tongue scraper available at your drug store.

Good route: Vitamin B12 is water soluble. It is administered orally in tablets and on skin in creams. There is a tablet that can be taken sublingually(under tongue). I would address your concerns with your doctor to assure proper dosage.

Clear Nerve: Find out is nerve sensitivity is affected. Might be swelling about a nerve.
Ask your doctor if enzymes to reduce swelling is recommended, such as Clear.ease which is papain and bromelain, one 4x a day, melt in mouth between cheek and gums.

how long for tongue biopsy results? small sample was removed from tongue. dr said two weeks ! would good or bad news come sooner?

: The time frame for results would depend on where the specimen is sent for study. If done in a lab located on site, it would be sooner than if sent by currier to an off-site lab. The doc who arranged the study would have that information. The results come when they are ready, good news or bad.

See DDS or ENT: There are a number of possibilities so you need to have a knowledgable professional examine you and make the diagnosis. It may just be pigment, or a pool ol blood vessels.

Dry tongue: Most likely mouth breathing during sleep. Drinks at least two quarters of water per day. See ENT as to cause      of airway symptoms. No smoking, no alcohol

Brush your tongue: Most of the stuff on your tongue is food debris.  Try using a tongue  scraper or a toothbrush to remove it  everyday.  If this does not help or if you have pain, swelling, you need to sea dentist for an exam.

Tongue scraper or: Use a small tongue scraper instead of a tooth brush. Start from 100 and count backwards by 3's to yourself. Rinse with a strong mouthwash first. Place salt on the back of your tongue. Try them all and see what works best for you.

Geographic tongue: Fortunately ringworm does not affect the tongue, but a common benign condition called "geographic tongue" is the usual cause of what you notice. However if you are able, see a doctor to be sure - especially  if the condition persists or you have any discomfort.
