Family practice : If you are due yes you should. Keep your wounds clean. Animal bites even if playful can get infected. Try to avoid bites, don't encourage him.

my 2lb puppy gave me small skin tears when she playfully bit at my forearm, i picked her up and she nipped my lip too. they dont hurt and i washed them with soap and water. do i need to do anything else? (other than work out her biting problem?

: We don't have to worry about rabies.  I consider these tiny dog bites but they can become infected by bacteria. I don't think you need to see an MD at this time.  In addition to your wound care, I recommend applying an antibacterial ointment daily, bandage on arm and observe for increasing redness,swelling,drainage of pus. You're up to date with your tetanus booster( 10 years).

he caused a superficial wound in my hand 
hes vaccinated and he doesnt go outside home alone 
should i worry about rabies ?

All dogs must be: Dogs must be vaccinated. A puppy's owner knows the exact vaccination status of his puppy, so knows whether or not the puppy has rabies, and also knows where the puppy has been. If the puppy does not have rabies and has not been around rabid animals, then rabies is not a concern. Of course, one may want to see his doctor about other infections that can happen from routine doggie mouth germs.

Depends: Depends on whether this is just a habit ( if so stop :-) ) or whether ist a problem caused by teeth that are missing, ill fitting prosthesis, or posterior bite collapse due to wear or recent dentistry.

It would be very: Unlikely to die from biting one's lip. However, if an infection developed in that area, that went untreated - theoretically it might lead to death. This is all not likely to occur.

You can!: There are several suggestions for dealing with a baby biting during nursing. My favorite is to say "no bite" and out him down. I think he'll quickly get the message. Good luck and try to keep nursing.

Clenching: A pernicious habit. See your Orthodontist or or Gen eralDentist to evaluate the tissues on the insides of your cheeks. a deprogramming splint may be helpful. As may physical therapy, biofeedback, muscle relaxants, analgesics, etc. You need professional advice proceeded by an appropriate evaluation. Go get examined.this can't be fixed with a keyboard click.

Say no!: To help him grow quickly through the biting stage, when you observe biting, say, "no!" firmly, so he can tell you are not pleased, then repeat and name the behavior, "no biting!". Then scoop him up from the situation and set a timer for about two minutes (the rule of thumb is one minute for every year he is old) and pay no attention to him for the next two minutes, even if he acts sorry or angry.

See below: Consistent response to biting. Every time you child bites, he/she needs to be told no don't bite. You can even place in time out for a minute. No one should be biting you child. It can take up to 2 to 3 weeks of consistent intervention to change the behavior.

Chewing on cheeks: Make sure he doesn't have a canker sore or cut in his mouth. If so , use orojel on sore. Otherwise try to distract you child from chewing on his cheek by giving him a banana or apple slices to chew on. Suckers might also help.
