: Dry mouth is probably from mouth breathing when sleeping. You sound dehydrated. Drink at least two quarts of clear fluids a day. Sounds like you have exposure to allergens or airway irritants. DC smoking and alcohol. No throat clearing, Suck on lozenges to stimulate salivary glands. You may have acid reflux disease. Could try Prilosec and eating habit modifications

Dust,fumes,perfume, food odors,etc. can accumulate in the environment.The sleeping child breathes less deeply and may  accumulate some irritant effect.As they start their day the coughing and sneezing usually clears this.
