Please see a doctor.: There are several possible causes for this and you need to be seen to be properly diagnosed. If you injured it, it may just be a bruise, but if not, it could be a twisted testicle, which is an emergent issue. So, don't delay; please call your doctor for an appointment or go to the emergency room to be checked.

Testicular pain: When there is pain in the testicle, it is important to see a doctor asap. People have different pain thresholds and twisted testicles, among other more serious problems are possible. The tight jeans on the bike could possibly be the cause but you must be sure everything else is okay. :)

hi, left testicle hurts to touch at the top but no where else. i do not have any swelling or discolouration. pain is not constant and not unbearable. i did strain myself yesterday at work, could this be the cause?

: It could be related since straining can sometimes help push a bowel loop into and inguinal hernia.  Though I don't have enough detail to know if this is the reason.  There are other entities, possibly more likely, like epididymitis  that can present as focal pain. The most worrisome case would be testicular torsion a medical emergency.  You may want to visit a urologist and discuss your symptoms.

Testicular : Testicular pain can be attributed to (but is not limited to) the following possible causes:

1. Epididymitis - testicle inflammation, may be caused by an infection
2. Hydrocele - scrotal swelling
3. Inguinal hernia
4. Kidney stones
5. Orchitis - inflamed testicle 
6. Scrotal masses
7. Spermatocele - fluid buildup in the testicle
8. Trauma to the testicle
9. Uti

seek medical attention if you experience sudden, severe testicular pain, if the pain is accompanied by fever/child/blood in urine, or pain that lasts more then 3 days.

left testicle hurts more than right when i do a self exam. there seems to be a small bump on top of the left when checking, not sure about the right. no pain when moving or sitting only when i touch around there, is this something to worry?

Epididymal cyst: Likely explanation for your condition. They are quite common &amp; enlarge head of epididymis &amp; can be tender to self examination. Can easily be checked out by urologist &amp; confirmed by scrotal ultrasound if necessary. Not something to worry about. It is hard, non-tender  testicular lumps or bumps that must be checked out in case they are tumors.

Need more info: Depends on your age. My advice is to consult with a urologist. Something may be happening in the area that you are concerned about and you may need an ultrasound to make sure nothing "is brewing".

Fever or no fever: No fever: could be intermittent testis torsion, torsion of appendix testis (onset for either would be sudden), spermatocele (you might be able to feel a small spherical structure above the testis) or varicocele (feels like a "bag of worms when standing and goes away when you are lying down) with fever: epididymitis or epididymo-orchitis (pain onset not sudden).
