Arm pain: Tough to diagnose without an exam, sound like a possible shoulder issue with a minor nerve irritation causing the top forearm numbness and the tightness in lower muscles too.  See the doc for an exam and eval, best wishes.

i get mild to severe pain in wrists and hands, sometimes muscle weakness as well. tested negative for lupus & rheumatoid artiritis. any suggestions?

Could still be: While lab testing is great at predicting disease, it isn't always confirmatory.  There is something called Seronegative (meaning labs are negative) RA and Lupus.  Generally only a rheumatologist can make this call but often you family physician can start therapy in the mean time to your evaluation.  Ibuprofen is usually where more start for pain control.

Hand pain: hand pain can be many things from arthritis to a nerve compression syndrome like carpal tunnel.  First I would seE your primary doctor who may order blood tests to check for arthritis syndrome. Otherwise a referral to a hand surgeon may be needed to evaluate for carpal tunnel syndrome or other nerve compression syndromes.

can it be normal for muscles in non-dominant hand to be smaller than dominant hand?muscle between thumb and pointer slightly less full, but that hand is not used as much! worrisome?no weakness! please respond

Sure: A person's dominant arm and hand should be a little bigger than her other arm and hand, even if the difference is small. The dominant arm and hand does the majority of her activities, so generally ends up with bigger muscles than the other arm and hand. That said, if she frequently uses her non-dominant arm and hand for heavy lifting or heavy work, the non-dominant limb could end up bigger.

what to do if i have slight tremor in my hands due to muscle weakness?

Depends: It is not uncommon to have a very mild tremor after a strenuous workout. However, if your hands are getting tired quickly and/or if tremor just arises, you should have it examined by a physician. You may have something like a mild essential tremor to it being an early sign of something more worrisome. See a physician for a physical exam, diagnosis, and treatment plan.

Most likely: Carpal tunnel syndrome, but might involve nerve compression at elbow, shoulder, or neck.

Little: 9 years later the nerve that supplied those muscles is definitely permanently damaged.  A course of hand therapy would probably do little unless there was evidence that decompressing the nerve would somehow restore nerve function and muscle strength in the muscles supplied by that nerve; e.g. A car with a clogged gas filter will have no power no matter how hard you step on the accelerator.

Muscle weakness: Please don't worry but please do see your doc ASAP.  He/she will figure out what is going on.  May be a simple pinched nerve or something else.  Your doc will let you know and help.  Peace and good health.
