Sounds like: a hernia.  But it could be any number of things, some serious, such as appendicitis.  Get to a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.

hip/groin pain clicking noise. it feels like my muscle/tendon gets stuck when walking. also causing knee pain. painful to walk. what could it be?

A pulled muscle/ten-: Don, labral tear of the acetabulum comes to mind. See an orthopod to be properly diagnosed/treated. Might need an arthroscopic exam for dx/treatment.
If the mri/xrays are negative or not too helpful.
Hip lesions do cause pain in the knee area.

Likely from joints: Temporomandibular joint can click during opening/ closing your mouth or neck joints as well on moving the neck. If it is occurring on its own, then it is best to rule out an intracranial fistula especially if it more of a pulse or thrill.
