24 HOURS: I tell all my patients who are taking metranidozole (flagyl) to avoid any alcohol while on the antibiotic and for at least 24 hours after the last dose.  This medicine, when mixed with alcohol, causes severe vomiting, so don't take any chances.  Good luck.

Most likely: This is fine, and for so e reason she had a lighter period this month. If she has been sexually active though, and had unprotected vaginal intercourse she may wish to take a pregnancy test at home just to be sure. If she is in a monogamous same gender relationship ship than there isn't a concern. If the mucous continues to be blood tinged, she needs testing for sexually transmitted infection.Bwell

Need pregnancy test: I guess some clarification is in order.  If you are a male having penile vaginal intercourse, there is still a significant chance of pregnancy, even if you withdraw before orgasm.  Even if you have oral or anal sex but sperm is sprayed by the vaginal canal occasionally pregnancy can result.  Of course periods can also be irregular.  If your not pregnant i would really encourage use of protection.

Yes: Missing oral contraceptive pills can result in breakthrough ovulation, and unprotected sex can lead to pregnancy

Sure a little: Brief periods of starvation is not the way to go for weight loss. It is better to lose over time. To lose weight insure that calories burned &gt; calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 oz glasses of water per day.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables ; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol ; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic ; weight&gt;.

Diarrhea: This has gone on too long without a diagnosis or projected treatment. You need to see a doctor, provide a detailed history including diet, travel, contacts, prior medical history and other associated symptoms. An exam of the stool will probably also be necessary since most of these are viral, but they have usually cleared up by now. Go see a GI or ID specialist. Hope you are better soon.

More info please: Is he growing well? How much does he drink?  I often find that children who 'don't eat' are filling up on liquid.  Measure how many oz are in his cup, and record everything he drinks for 3 days in a row, as well as everything he eats, #wet diapers, and #bms. The new england journal of medicine once reported a man who ate 80 eggs a day and sitll had a normal cholesterol. The major factor among people with high cholesterol is genetics, much more so than diet.
