Probably not: Your pupils size is not a constant measure. It changes depending on the amount of light that enters your eye. If you are exposed to very little light, your pupils will dilate and vice versa. The iris muscle is regulated by different mediators. In children, the pupils are usually larger than those in adults. As long as your pupils are equal in size, there may nothing wrong with them.

Anisocoria: Difference in pupillary size (anisocoria) can be completely normal or be a sign of an underlying medical condition.  About 20% of the population has normal physiologic anisocoria.  If you have absolutely no other symptoms it is likely benign.  However, you should probably see your ophthalmologist for a complete exam,

: It should not happen and I can't explain why you encountered this rare adverse effect which could be called an idiosyncratic reaction. It is absolutely abnormal.

Eye dilation: The ophthalmologist dilates the eye so that the entire back of the eye can be seen by examination.  This is usually viewed with device strapped to the head of the eye doctor called an indirect ophthalmoscope, - using a bright light and mirror.  This is part of a complete eye examination and dilation is also done to allow surgical and other treatments.

i had my pupils dilated yesterday at 11am (3 different drops) and my right eye is still dilated and my left eye isn't. it's been about 23 hours. why?

A not: uncommon result of the drug(s) used to keep the pupils dilated enough for a complete retinal examination! The dose can vary (the amount that actually reaches the eye differs from side to side.  The 23 hours is a bit longer than usual and if there is not SIGNIFICANT return to normal tomorrow the eye professional who did your exam should be contacted!! Hope this helps

please help: i went to the eye doctor yesterday and they gave me the eye drops that dilate your pupils. they both constricted and went back to normal over a few hours. i just woke up this morning and now one pupil is bigger than the other?
