"breast lump" ?: A moveable "breast lump" at age 17 is usually related to your hormone cycle, or is a benign fibroadenoma.  Ask your gyn physician for an exam, and further testing if necessary.

Rib-breastbone joint: Cracking a joint moves the parts of the joint, with the cracking noise coming from cartilage surfaces sliding, from movement of a little air-space from one place in the joint to another, or from some other non-traumatic event. A person with no joint pains before or after cracking a joint is probably not damaging the joint. A doctor can evaluate pain or stiffness associated with cracking noises.

Hmmm hypermobility?: Of your sternum. It might be normal to have some crepitus.  Rib soreness can be from costochondritis.  You are young.  It is unlikely to be infection or tumor.  However if the symptoms persist - see your doctor.

You can take anti inflammatory agents like Aspirin and motrin.

if i shrug my traps up to my neck the bones in my levator scapulae/traps crack? could this be my neck, upper ribs, clavicle, or anything else? tmj

Subluxation: Hi ChrisF689  Sounds like you may have a slight separation or subluxation of one of the joints between ribs and sternum..or even more common, where the 'floating' ribs connect to each other along the lower margin.   Antiinflammatory, Ice and some gentle manipulation may help. If it continues, or your have any shortness of breath, see your practitioner.

Ribs?: Its a very unusual question, and we don't have much to go by on a forum like this, but when you button your pants you bring your arms together in front of you which uses chest wall muscles (pectorals) if you have any recent chest trauma or heavy exercise you could have some pain from these muscles or where the ribs join the sternum. Its not your heart.

Strained ligament: If it only hurts when you move it might be a partially torn ligament that attaches the clavicle to the sternum. This can take months to heal.  See your doctor and make sure that's all it is.
