My sternum cracks when pushing down. my back also cracks when pushing down on sternum. general rib bone soreness and discomfort. any ideas? thanks.

Hmmm hypermobility?: Of your sternum. It might be normal to have some crepitus. Rib soreness can be from costochondritis. You are young. It is unlikely to be infection or tumor. However if the symptoms persist - see your doctor.
You can take anti inflammatory agents like Aspirin and motrin.
