Unsure of Question: I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. If your gums are growing back, that implies that they had previously been lost...Perhaps due to infection, trauma, surgery, etc? In any case, healing in the body anywhere usually doesn't hurt. It doesn't matter if it's a broken bone, a scratch on the skin, or unhealthy gums...Healing is usually comfortable. In fact, you usually don't even notice healing.

See Dentist: Impossible to diagnose without seeing and clinical evaluation. However, may be an abscess or a bony bump with tight tissue stretched over the top (normal) and perhaps you irritated it. See the Dentist for evaluation and treatment. Good Luck.

Possibly 3rd molars.: At your age, your 3rd molars (also called wisdom teeth) may be close to erupting, and you may not have space for them. This is characterized by gums raised enough that your 2nd molars bite down on them, causing a cycle of pain, inflammation, and possibly infection. This is called pericoronitis, and the treatment is usually removal of your 3rd molars. Ask your dentist to evaluate you for this.

Hard to say...: Don't know why your gums are hurting. That needs to be determined first. Gum pain can often be attributed to periodontitis, and if that is the case in your mouth, you need to see a dentist for treatment.

Many things: Aphthous ulcer (canker sore), abscessed tooth (gum boil), burn, swollen salivary gland?  Could bo so many things.  This question can't be answered long distance, and the 5 most dangerous words in the english language are, "maybe it will go away."  bite the bullet...Call your family dentist and ask him/her to take a look and advise you.

Brown line on gums: Hard to tell by your description.....But a usual cause of gum discoloration that you describe, is due to needing a cleaning bad!

visit your dentist for an evaluation.
Discolored gums can indicate some other
serious conditions, so dont fool around....
Get to the dentist asap.

Need help: Sounds like what's missing from the equation is "regular professional care."  Dental disease (tooth, gum, etc) does not self cure.  False teeth must be remade periodically.  Please see a Dentist for an evaluation.  If gums are diseased the services of a Periodontist may be in order.  If white spots are lesions the services of an Oral Surgeon may be in order.
