when walk for a short time my left ankle starts to hurt for no reason, it feels very painful when i walk. what is going on with my ankle?

Well if there is : Pain there is a reason, it is just not known yet. Sounds, like you need to see a specialist who will examine the foot, place it thru range of motion and palpate for a region of pain. An MRI may be warranted to help come to a working diagnosis.

the place behind the ankle bone and beneath the heel hurts when i wake up in the morning. dwindles as the day progresses. what could be the reason?

Tendonitis/fascitis?: this sounds like inflamation of the insertion of the plantar fascia in the heel area.  If it is worse in the morning, that is a sign.  See a doctor and have him evaluate the issue, perhaps xray.  Treatment will depend on the findings but might include a night splint, exercises, and ibuprofen

a quad landed in my foot when it flipped and rolled down a hill i can walk on my ankle but it hurts on the outside of my ankle a lot..possible reason?

Because you : Injured it??? Contusion for one.....I'm not sure what a quad is but if the force was strong enough I suppose a fracture is possible..

a medium size bruise appeared on my foot by my ankle. it doesn't hurt and the only reason i noticed it is because i looked down and thought it was dirt or something like that and tried to wipe it off.

"Bruise": Relax! If what you report is correct you need not worry about your foot and ankle.
If you are still concerned please see your doctor!

can i sprain my ankle by placing it in a chair on its side w/ my other foot on top? or does it hurt for another reason? it has been hurting for a few hours and it hurts to move it and walk on it have i twisted it or something?

Yes, : Yes, that could definitely sprain your ankle.  If you have swelling or persistent pain though be sure to be seen for an x-ray to be sure it isn't broken (fractured).

Sprain: Too soon to talk about cancer. Rest, elevate, ace wrap, and take Ibuprofen (if you are not allergic to it).

i sprained my ankle almost a year ago never went to a doctor. if i dont wear my brace it tries to collapse or hurts to walk. any reason to this?

And sprain: You need X-ray and orthopedic exam. You may have fracture, ligament or tendon injury, loose body, etc. you may also have chronic weakness secondary to chronic brace wear.

: I think you should see a doctor prior to next Tuesday. One etiology would be a blood clot and you don’t want to miss that diagnosis. Perhaps you can call your doctor to see if you can be seen sooner or perhaps you can see your GP. You can also go to the ER for diagnosis and treatment. Best of luck to you!

It can: This mediation has been associated with causing joint pain and the ankle is no exception. The arthralgia is usually mild and short lived not requiring stopping medication but if pain progressive stop and consult  prescribing md.

For now: Apply an ice pack, keep it elevated and stay off it. If it's just a simple sprain, you'll feel better tomorrow. If you don't, you need an x-ray, so bring your ankle to either a podiatrist or an orthopedist, both of whom will have x-rays in their office (better than an er), so you can get diagnosed and treated properly.
