Trigger points: Sound like you may have trigger points or "knots". These can certainly be caused by tension.  Heat and massage are good remedies the can be used followed by stretching the muscles involved. In some people they are severe and require medical evaluation for treatment.   Physical therapy may also be helpful.

Stress: Muscle tension can be due to anxiety or postural problems, and can get worse the longer it persists without treatment. Stretching exercises and postural retraining should be helpful. But if no relief is seen within 6 weeks of corrective measures, you will need a physical exam by a physician.

Dizziness: Unfortunately we only find out what causes dizziness less than 2% of the time and those people who have the 2% usually have something really bad wrong with them.  I suppose it could.  It could affect the baroreceptors in the large vessels in the neck, it could pull on the temporal skull bones causing inner ear issues, or affect cranial nerves in the suboccipital region. All possibilities.

Breath in slowly ;: Deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to.  Progressive muscle relaxation is also very beneficial. There a # of ways to address anxiety: cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, individual psychotherapy, group &gt;.
