Many possibilities: Can be your heart or the main vessels (aorta and vena cava).  If it's accompanied with pain, shortness of breath, or light headedness, go to er immediately.  See a doctor to be checked out.

Possibly.: It can be a muscle spasm, a mass, a lung problem, just to name a few possiblities. See your internist or family md, to start with an evauation and xrays.

Many causes: Are they muscle twitches? Could be fatigue or stress or mineral deficiency? They are painless so I guess they are not bothering you?    Observe and if worse and gets painful then see your doc.

Med side effects?: Electrolyte problem like potassium or calcium or magnesium, muscle denervation, muscle strain from new exercise program or increased intensity are a few causes. If it continues, please see your primary care physician for an exam and tests. Xanax (alprazolam) can cause muscle spasms as a side effect. as can lovastatin. If either changed or started recently, that might be your answer. Check urine myoglobin ,CPK.

See that you suffer : From anxiety disorder. It may have been a muscle spasm since your pecs are deep to the breasts.  It sounds like it only lasted a second - so you are most likely fine. If you can find a quiet place - do so. Breath in slowly ; deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat.

Probably not serious: This is likely a fasciculation, localized muscle twitching which is usually not serious, esp. if it happens rarely. Unlikely!: Does not sound like typical heart pain but one should have more history (age, duration, circumstances of the production of the pain, other medical conditions etc ! ).
