Cystic fluid: If the ovarian cyst resolved by rupturing with fluid accumulation on the lining of the internal body cavity (peritoneum), then that's why you are still symptomatic. Eventually this will resolve if that is the case.

Ovarian cyst: It can go to mild to severe pain on either pelvic side. Can cause pain. Pain during sex, pelvic discomfort., pelvic pressure, frequent urination, constipation etc. It depends on the size of the cyst. It also might be big and dont cause any pain. Depends on the patient as well.

is a 6 cm simple ovarian cyst something to worry about? 25. my said its benign filled with fluid. she said it will go away on its own. it causes me pain though. should i get a second opinion? i read online this is too big for a simple cyst?

: If your (GYN) physician has seen the imaging study and the cyst is a simple one (without complex echogenic structure within) the 6 cm cyst will eventually resolve spontaneously, and may take a followup imaging study if the pain persists. With a less than 10 cm cyst with no internal echo structure, a biopsy is not yet indicated.

: I can't think of a medical reason that drinking socially would have any effect on or be worrisome for someone with this condition.

i'm just wondering, if you have symptoms of an ovarian cyst, does that mean it is a cancerous cyst?

Accepted Answer

No: Most ovarian cysts are benign and you needn't worry.  Most ovarian cysts are small and are only felt intermittantly as pain.  At your age, the chances of cancer are very small unless you have a strong family history of ovarian and/or breast cancer.  Ultrasound are good at detecting the type of cyst you have, so ask your doctor for one if you're worried.

how can i treat my ovarian cyst naturally? doctors suggested me to do a larascopy, but i'm looking for some alternatives.

Watch wait: Watch and wait is the most natural way. Assuming, of course, your cyst is simple and non complex.                                                If it is simple and you aren't having pain or other issues and it isn't too big and...... Then you can watch it.  Talk to your doc and or get a second opinion. Send new question with more details os out your cyst.

No ovulation no cyst: Hello,

Recurring, painful cysts can be intrusive with respect to our busy lifestyles as you alluded to.  You might consider a contraceptive method for the  ovarian suppression that it offers.  The pill and other hormonal methods prevent ovulation and therefore prevent cyst formation.

No: Usually cysts are benign. For the pain nsaids or birth control pills can help. Sometimes if there are severe symptoms they me need to be removed with surgery. Follow the direction of your physician.

The cyst: is (as it's name infers) is NON-FUNCTIONAL (Produces NO HORMONES) and is BENIGN (Internal septum indicates usually benign contents) YOU SHOULD NOT WORRIED ..its SIZE may make it a candidate for REMOVAL ..discuss with your GYNECOLOGIST for more information and the advisability for surgery.

Normal: Cysts of this size on ovaries are a normal finding on ultrasound. Functional cysts (i.e. Egg cysts or follicular cysts) are what ovaries make every month. Selection of one of these becomes the dominant egg which normally is released during ovulation.
