Vomiting: If your child is vomiting at the rate of every half hour he will soon get dehydrated if he isn't already. Take him to doctor before it gets worse.

Colds: last usually about 10 days in children. it;s a bad respiratory season and many people are getting bad persistent colds. You can use a humidifier, Vicks for nighttime relief. Homeopathic cough and cold meds may help also if the symptoms persist beyond 10 days or fever appears , see your doctor

Sounds viral: These are common symptoms of most viral respiratory infections.  Make sure you get plenty of rest and fluids.  You can take Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin for the pain.  Use saline nasal spray for sinus drainage.  See your doctor if symptoms do not improve in the next few days.

Allergies: Allergies or other sources of inflammation of the respiratory or oral mucosa can increase mucous production as the body uses it to coat and soothe/protect from allergens or inflammatory substances. If a lot is produced and swallowed it can upset the stomach and can induce vomiting.

Get checked: If this has been an ongoing problem for more than a couple of weeks, then you likely either have chronic rhinitis or bronchitis.  An evaluation can help to pinpoint the problem (anything from allergies, chronic irritation, lung problems, structural sinus problems, etc).  Getting it to stop will depend upon the primary problem.
