Strongly recommend that you seek medical care ASAP, best from a gastroenterologist or an infectious diseases expert. Do not delay this. You need a diagnosis rapidly because if Cl. difficile this can be very dangerous. Hope this helps.

Mucus in stool: Is usually nothing to be worried about unless, it is happening on a regular basis,there is blood or change in bowel habits. Usually seen in intestinal infections that cause severe diarrhea.it may be bloody and accompanied by abdominal pain seen in Crohn's.disease, Ulcerative colitis or even cancer. If concerned, talk to your doctor.

: I wouldn't directly attribute mucus in stools to adderall unless it's causing irritable bowel syndrome or proctitis which is an inflammatory process in the rectum. Your symptoms of jitteriness, lightheadedness may signify an intolerance to adderall or the current dose. Discuss this with your prescribing physician.

Needs to be checked: We need more information to advice you.A little mucus in stool some times only on wiping without any other symptoms related to GI tract like abdominal pain, blood in stools, hard stools alternating with loose stools, may be normal and harmless and do no require any treatment normally.But since you are concerned about it, i will recommend you have it checked by your doctor or a gastroenterologist.

Perhaps...: Enemas are almost never used in my pediatric practice, so the 1st concern is what  triggered the need for an enema? I would never recommend an enema for your child unless specifically ordered by your pediatrician. The type of enema used may have caused the mucous--or perhaps this mucous was due to the irritant effect of whatever made the use of an enema necessary. If bloody, call your doctor now.

i was told i have ibs which i have had frequent urge to use the bathroom usually little stool comes out but accompanied by mucus  i've been on bentyl which is helped out a lot until yesterday i have had bloody mucus in stool after straining ?

Inflammatory bowel?: This sounds like you have proctitis or proctocolitis i.e. inflammation of the rectum and/or colon, i.e. inflammatory bowel disease  (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis). Or maybe just irritable bowel plus a minor problem like hemorrhoid or anal fissure. If you have had receptive anal sex with other men, it could be an STD e.g. chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes. See a doctor soon to figure it out.

from 3 months i'm seeing on/off mucus in stool after i had anal fissure. gi says i should go for colonoscopy although crp, calprotectin tests are ok. general surgeon says mucus is not a problem at all by seeing my condition. what should i do now?

loose stools and significant white mucus in stool after starting to take magnesium citrate (150mg, 1 x daily) and probiotic (50bn cfu 1 x daily). used to be constipated (6 months). had fecal calprotectin test 4 months ago and was negative. ibs?

Not too concerning: There are several causes of bright red color in the stool. He may have a small irritation of the anus due to hard stools, more frequent stools, or the rectal temperature assessments. Apply a small amount of vaseline or a;d ointment to help the area heal. Bright red food colors can also show up in the stool (gatorade, koolaid), so you may want to avoid those for now. If it worsens, see you doctor.

Mucus  is a common symptom of irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis and to lesser degree in crohn's disease.A bacterial infection, anal fissure, or a bowel obstruction may also cause the passage of mucus along with stool.
