: Viral infection could cause relapse but bacterial infection will rarely cause relapse.  Notify neurologist and make sure you are taking a potent DMT

Yes. : MRSA would be presumed to be resistant to Amoxicillin. A non-penicillin derivative antibiotic should be used.

Sore throat: It usually looks like a strep infection, but it does not clear up with the routine antibiotics that are given.  A culture at that time will usually turn up the mrsa.  Some people are colonized with MRSA and have no symptoms.

No worries!: As a nurse's aide, you have been exposoed to MRSA many times before. It's all over the place in hospitals and in many patients, including many without visible evidence of infection. That a particular resident is a carrier doesn't increase your risk. And MRSA doesn't cause sore throat or weakness. If still concerned, speak with your supervisor or discuss with the infection control team.

Sores on Skin?: Your symptoms can be associated with many other conditions.  With MRSA you would also have skin lesions: little painful bumps.
