Not definitively: Advanced imaging can reveal abnormalities in the bone and soft tissue.  The gold standard in identifying if the abnormality is in fact a cancer, is to take a surgical biopsy... which then needs to be reviewed by a pathologist for definitive diagnosis.

i had mri of throastic in june and in august chest x ray. mid upper back still hurting. could they of missed cancer?

Possible, unlikely: Assuming well performed, well read by competent radiology specialists, it is unlikely that cancer would be missed. Could be other causes not seen with the above mentioned tests. Follow up with md.

when you get injected with dye to get x-ray (mri, cat...) are you suppose to feel sick afterwards. doctor had me take some test to check my blood, i was diagnose with cancer but i'm in remission.

It : It is not uncommon to feel a bit nauseated after getting certain intravenous dyes.  This should not last more than a few hours, if that.

i am a 29 year old female and have been a smoker for 7 years. i have mid back pain near spine for months. i have had chest x-ray and 2 mri's, both clear. i am still scared itslung cancer. what should i do?

Cancer concern: You already know that smoking is bad for you. Good. Stop smoking, then you can stop worrying about cancer. Your spine pain may be cancer, tho unlikely--that should have shown up on your imaging. Most likely you have musculoskeletal issues such as chronic sprain or repetitive stress injury. Internal problems of lungs, intestinal tract, kidneys etc must also be considered. Get another opinion.

No.: These diagnostic procedures will not measurably increase your risk of cancer over your background or natural risk.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Life is more complex: One person cannot know if he will be the unlucky one to get cancer from the CT&#x27;s. He may never get cancer despite many CT&#x27;s, he may get cancer unrelated to the CT&#x27;s, or he may be unlucky and get cancer from the CT&#x27;s. So, one must live life in a relaxed manner, and not worry about all the possible things that can happen to unlucky people. Get a CT, MRI, or any test only when truly necessary!

i have a 4x2.5 lump on my inner left thigh. its almost doubled in size in the past month. x-rays say there is a soft tissue lesion. i go for mris tomorrow (with and without contrast). should i be worried its cancer? its pretty hard?

: It is worrisome. Concern would be for a sarcoma of  skeletal muscle. If it is, prognosis is quite good if it's localized. Prompt treatment by an experienced oncologist is key.

MRI: The MRI will show whether there is any abnormality in the bone.  The blood work may or may not add any further information.
