I have a 4x2.5 lump on my inner left thigh. its almost doubled in size in the past month. x-rays say there is a soft tissue lesion. i go for mris tomorrow (with and without contrast). should i be worried its cancer? its pretty hard?

It is worrisome. Concern would be for a sarcoma of skeletal muscle. If it is, prognosis is quite good if it's localized. Prompt treatment by an experienced oncologist is key.
