No: Fatty livers generally produce no symptoms unless it is the result of an underlying systemic disease.

getting worried about my daily facial flushing. my palms also get warm and red. tsh levels are normal. liver enzymes slightly elevated. what could cause the flushing? too young for menopause?

: One possible cause may be an allergic reaction. Keep a log of the time of day and relationship of these symptoms to ingestion of certain foods. Other causes include variation in BP and temperature. Stay well hydrated and watch for signs of dizziness and fainting. Please see your PCP.

Persons can have: Lipidemia without elevated trigs- with history of htn- a good lipid test in my experience is the NMR from liposcience. The LDL particles would indicate to you the need for a statin drug!     hdl- is  I  mportant also.

24 hours: After hand surgery, elevating the operative limb for 24-48 hours should be sufficient to reduce swelling. Afterwards, elevation is probably not as clinically important.

Long enough: Elevate the affected extremity as much as possible until swelling decreases.  Postop swelling is not unsual.  Elevation and gentle digital range of motion are a few simple steps to help decrease swelling (edema).  Placing the hand above the level of the heart (e.g. Left chest) allows gravity to facilitate the edema control.  A tight postoperative dressing may also be carefullly loosened.

Lab results: An elevated Hemoglobin and Hematocrit (h &amp;h) with elevated platelets are commonly associated with dehydration. There other conditions that raise the h&amp;h like polycythemia vera, hemochromatosis, sleep apnea, chronic obstructive lung disease, testosterone use. The platelets can rise from infection,  anemia( which is not consistent with a high H&amp;h), and other blood conditions. Speak to your doctor.

: It is very unlikely a vitiligo. 
Duration and sexual exposure history will be important to suggest a correct diagnosis.
