Eosinophils: There is no eosinophil testing of urine so I have no clue as to what you are looking at. The bacteria in urine must be evaluated with the following questions asked:

1. Was the urine collected properly with cleansing of the body around the urethra?  If not, then bacteria on the skin can cause false results on the urine. 

2. Was the specimen processed immediately after the urine collection?

Prematurity: There is no definitive cause of nec known, however it is seen most often in premature babies.  Many suspect it has to do with an immature intestinal system, an alteration in blood flow and milk feedings.  The bacteria pseudomonas aeruginosa is often implicated in premature babies.

i know undercooked or raw meat is risky during pregnancy because it carries bacteria. is a steak safe to eat medium because all the bacteria can be found on the outside of the meat, which is fully cooked?

Contaminated meat: Undercooked or raw meat is no more risky or dangerous during pregnancy than at any other time. In general, whole meat that is cooked enough to sear the surface protects against bacterial infections, so even very rare or virtually uncooked meat is safe. Ground meat (e.g. hamburger) is a different story, because surface bacteria can be present throughout. Cook burgers at least to medium pink.

is it safe to eat yogurt during pregnancy ? we have known that it contains live cultures and bacteria.

Yes to yogurt: Your body carries trillions of bacteria. This is nothing to be concerned about. We evolved in a world where numerically dominated by organisms that help us digest, absorb vitamins, etc., .  A pittance of live bacteria in most commercially available yogurt products is nothing, and it has lots of protein to help your baby grow.  There are some foods to avoid, talk to your OB about exotic cheeses etc.

: If they did a swab for culture during your pregnancy for a bacteria, it is most likely for strep B. They may also check for fungal elements but usually later in her pregnancy as you approach delivery the information about the presence of strep B is most important.

You can't. : Bacteria in stomach is a normal part of the gastric environment.

Sushi ?: The real problem with sushi is the raw fish used in many of the preparations, which can carry viral components which can infect the liver, and sometimes affect a pregnancy.  Without symptoms at this point, your pregnancy is probably safe, but it stomach cramps, diarrhea, etc. begin, get a CBC from your OB physician to check your eosinophil count (type of blood cell).

Good Home Care: Spend at least 10 minutes a day brushing plus floss at least once a day.  Have your teeth cleaned at least every 4 months.

Get treated : It is the most common cause of vaginal discharge in pregnancy (and outside of pregnancy) and is easily treated with antibiotics prescribed by your doctor
