Depression: Please call 911, a friend or relative who can help you now. Your depression can be treated successfully with proper medical care. There is, in most counties, free access to health care for patients that can not afford it.  We all go through difficult situations in life that make us feel very sad and down. Don't count on it: I've known people to try this and live on for decades with brain damage, regretting their attempt. If you are thinking of harming yourself, call 911 if you feel you are losing control, or talk with your physician as soon as you can. Whatever the circumstances, people will not think well of you for taking your life, but will admire any attempt you make to get it back in order. Be truly brave ; live.

Fairly: Usually these folks' consciousness is much clouded by the time the metabolic derangements might become uncomfortable. It's treatable nowadays if caught early, but the danger is that someone is binge-drinking alone. I'm sorry if you lost a loved one. There are people who, when they take a drink, cease to be themselves. Remember the good times and go on without asking "what if". Best wishes.

Not sure there is 1: A mother that commits suicide will deprive baby of nutrients when the heart stops. This results in the equivalent of suffocation.How you could change this feature is unknown.
