No: On a manual count of only 100 cells, there is a fair chance no monocytes will be counted. If it is an automated count, it is a machine problem. If all else is okay, it is a non problem. Nobody lacks only monocytes.

monocyte count is zero. the rest of cbc is normal, b12 and folate normal, ferritin low normal. i have hashimoto's. i recently experienced a lot of stress and am exhausted from insomnia. currently have uri. should i be concerned about no monocytes?

No: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, one test result without monocytes is not a cause for concern.

Stop worrying : Old manual counting methods ("Just count the first hundred cells") or poorly-functioning software-driven devices can give this result. There's no illness in which monocytes really vanish. If this is all, you're good.

Likely normal: Basophils are very rare in the blood. If found in a blood sample at all, they usually make up no more than 1% of the total white blood cells. Monocytes are found more frequently than basophils--about 5-10% of white blood cells. 0% monocytes is a bit low, but this can be normal variation. See your doctor; he/she may repeat the blood test or follow it over time to make sure everything is normal.

Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

No: You have low monocyte count this is not common with tuberculosis which often gives you a high monocytes count this is not a good test for tb.

severe fe deficiency anemia, recent cbc showed monocytes 12.6% (reference 2-8). is this abnormal? the monocyte count was 0.62.

Treat Fe deficiency: An elevated monocyte count is not material. I trust that you are taking oral iron supplement and multivitamins to correct iron deficiency.

my eosinophils count is 14.3%(ref 0-10). also my monocytes count is 11.8%(0-9),having neurological symptoms and erratic muscle pain.

Eosinophilia: Eosinophilia is seen in association with other conditions, most commonly hay fever, eczema, &amp; asthma, as well as infections (parasitic and fungal) &amp; some autoimmune disorders. Less commonly, it is a result of a hematologic disorder or malignancy.  History of symptoms, travel, and environmental exposures are essential to diagnosis &amp; treatment, &amp; are best evaluated by your local personal physician.
