This : This is tricky to answer without a picture, but essentially any mole that has changed should probably be evaluated.  In particular, moles that are irregular shaped, dark, multi-colored, larger than a pencil eraser, or recently changed should probably get evaluated to make sure they are safe. Possible Biopsy: Given your age, the lesion is most likely benign but without seeing it, it is difficult to tell.  It could be an unrelated bruise from minor trauma.  Therefore i would make an appointment to see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon in three weeks for a biopsy.  During your wait, if the bruise resolves and the mole ends up appearing exactly as it did prior to the bruise, you can consider canceling.

Pretty low but...: Irregular moles should be checked asap.  Especially if they have increased in size quickly or bleed easily.  If an md feels it is benign and it continues to behave benign it can be watched.  However, the only way to get a definite answer is with a biopsy.

i have a mole that on my shoulder, should i be worried? i have a pink mole that is pink, raised, no hair in it, round, and it lies in my "bra line on my shoulder. it itches sometimes when my bra rubs it. i have fair skin/eyes, and have a lot of freckles.

Have it checked: If there is a significant change in a mole you should get it checked.  Worrisome signs for skin cancer are irregular borders, bleeding, different colors within a mole, black moles.  Sometimes pregnancy will cause a flat mike to become raised.
