can i drink milk after oral surgery?

Cold: Sure. I would recommend perhaps a milkshake as it is cold. Avoid using a straw for the first 24 hours as this may cause bleeding or loss of the initial blood clot.

Regular diet: I tell my patients after this surgery to eat regular diet with high roughage but avoid constipation.

Yes: Pain with defecation after hemorrhoid or fissure surgery is common.  Nonetheless, the more you delay, the harder the stool, the more painful it will be to pass stool.  Drink plenty of fluids and water, minimize narcotics for pain control, walk as much as possible, take warm baths to keep the anal area clean and sooth the pain.

i need to get rid of gallstones  fast.. without having surgery!  surgery issues out of the question! any one know how i can? milk temp. relieves pain

See below: The only 'fast' way to remove gallstones is by removing your gallbladder (cholecystectomy). This is recommended if you are in fact symptomatic and have been thoroughly evaluated by a surgeon. If you have cholesterol-only type gallstones, sometimes a certain medication (ursodiol) can be given oraly to slowly dissolve the gallstone; however, this can take months/years.

i was pushed in to or for an outpatient surgery with 1 iv line and out with 2 iv lines. my anesthesiologist gave me many ghirardellis caramel milk chocolates & ask me to eat all as soon as i woke up without ever explaining reason for adding 2nd iv?

2nd IV: Sometimes is routine during general anesthesia, as one might get blocked or fail, so another would be available, doesn't denote anything in particular, best wishes

No: Go for low fat milk and consider probiotics and enzymes. If you have lactose intolerance or have developed it use lactaid products.

my adenoid gland got bigger in size and i am not prepared for surgery right now. will it get worse if i drink cow milk?

Accepted Answer

No: Cow's milk contains fat and that can affect the mucus in your throat making you more uncomfortable. Check with your family physician for a medication that may help shrink your adenoids a bit. Also make sure you are also being followed by an ear nose &amp; throat specialist.

i had a brest ultrosound.radiologist found a nodule in milk duct.surgent tell me i need to do a surgery. is it other choice?

Surgery: Is the safest course. These nodules are usually benign growths called papillomas. However, only by removing the nodule and examination by a pathologist can know for sure.

why am i producing milk? i was breastfeeding my son til i had surgery and one of the drs used the wrong type of drug on me and my milk dryed in two weeks. i had my surgery on august 25th 2011. here it is november and i noticed my breasts have milk in them

This : This is completely normal. The breasts often times continue to produce small amounts of milk for a few years after breastfeeding has stopped. If this is bothersome, your primary care provider or gynecologist may prescribe a medication that will suppress milk production.

surgery prep says take one bottle of magnesium citrate. bought milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide).  same or different?

Different: Magnesium citrate is different than milk of magnsesia. Look for citrate in a colored glass bottle usually. Ask the pharmacist if you cannot find it. It is a clear liquid and will cause BM fairly soon after you ingest it so I advise to take it at home. Milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) will also cause a bowel movement but not as rapidly.
